Dzongkha Development Commission(DDC) recently published two new technological terms in their website.
These two terms are Dzongkha terms for algorithm and artificial intelligence.
DDC defines algorithm(རྩིས་ཐབས) as རྩིས་དང་འབྲེལ་བའི་དྲི་བ་ཅིག་གི་ལན་འཐོབ་ནིའི་དོན་ལུ་ གོ་རིམ་བཞིན་དུ་འབད་དགོ་པའི་བཀོད་རྒྱ།
Algorithm
DDC defines artificial intelligence (བཅོས་རིག) as གློག་རིག་གིས་ མི་བཟུམ་སྦེ་འབད་ཚུགས་པའི་བཟོ་བཅོས་འབད་ཡོད་པའི་རིག་པ།
Coming up with such new terms are very important to keep Dzongkha language sufficiently rich in vocabulary to meet the needs for communication with technological advancements.
